Vilamoura Beach and Watersports Holiday Guide:
There are two main beaches in Vilamoura... these are Falésia and Vilamoura beach. Both have been classed as ‘accessible’ beaches which means not only do they provide footpaths, ramps and walkways directly to the sand, but they also provide facilities that meet a certain criteria for wheelchair users. On these beaches you will also find first aid points, toilets and disabled toilets.
Vilamoura beach is ideal for families and it is an enormous sandy beach which stretches for 3km, it has lifeguards on duty through the summer months and is always spotless. Delve in a number of watersports here including jet skiing, paragliding, banana boat rides and dolphin spotting cruises. For some time out of the sun head to the bars and restaurants which line the beach.. you never have to venture far to find a toilet, a drink or something to eat.
At Falésia beach there is also plenty of room and a number of watersports happening, from jet skiing to pedalos and parasailing to banana boat rides.
