The apartment is ideal for couples being situated in a quiet location, but within short walking distance of the town, beach and public transport. The popular and picturesque thatched Old Village is a 2 minute walk away, where you will find a variety of pubs, restaurants and gift shops. From here you can take the path leading to Shanklin Chine, a wooded gorge leading to the beach, or enjoy a cream tea and a game of crazy golf in Rhlystone Gardens.
The long safe sandy beach of Shanklin with views towards Sandown Bay and Culver Cliff is a perfect place on a sunny day, with many cafes, pubs and restaurants. From here you can take an enjoyable walk along the revetment towards Sandown. Or alternatively during the Summer season you can take the lift or use the bus service from Shanklin Esplanade .
There is much to enjoy on the Island with each town offering something unique. Enjoy the wonderful scenery, cycleways and footpaths and discover the Island for yourself.

Within the property are details regarding public transport around the Isle of Wight, as well as places of interest. There is room for bikes to be accommodated outside the front door of the property or in the courtyard should you wish to bring them. The property is gas centrally heated throughout. There will be a welcome pack containing some basic items on your arrival. There is no provision for animals. There is a front door bell at the front of the house where the property owners live.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities There is a car parking space allocated for the Courtyard marked accordingly.
Main entrance and Reception There are two entrances into the property. A front gate and a gate within the car parking area which has one step up. The Courtyard is accessed by continuing along the path, climbing three steps and following the path to the rear of the house where the accommodation is located at the very end of the path. The property is named and there is a coded keybox to gain entry. A sensor light will be activated at night. There is one small step into the property which is then on one level throughout.
Bedroom The bedroom is carpeted and there is a king size bed with bedside cabinets with a touch lamp on each. Also a walk in wardrobe with hanging space, containing a chest of drawers. A striplight over the sink with shaver point. A wall fixed flat screen television.
Bathroom The bathroom comprises of a bath, hand basin, toilet and a separate shower which you need to step up into. There is a heated towel rail and the floor surface is vinyl and a bath mat is provided. There is a restricted height on the doorway of width 25 inches height 6 ft.
Lounge The lounge is carpeted and contains a sofa bed which can be used as a single or opened out if preferred to make a double bed. The appropriate bedding is supplied. There is a table and chairs, flat screened television and a dvd player. There is a lounge unit where books and games are stored for your enjoyment. Also there is a gas fire with a shelf surround.
Kitchen The kitchen contains a separate fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a double gas oven with an eye level grill contained within the top oven. The 4 ringed gas hob is to the right of the oven with an extractor fan unit over the top of it. Cutlery, crockery and cookware are kept within the kitchen base units and drawers. There is a restricted height on the doorway of width 30 inches height 6 ft 2 inches.
The Courtyard and Utility Room The Courtyard is accessed by the back door and has one step down into it. There is a restricted height on the doorway of width 29 inches height 6 ft. The door into the utility room has two steps up into it and there is a washing machine, tumble dryer, washing basket, pegs, airier, ironing board and iron. There is a washing line located on the left hand side of the back garden where clothes can be dried.
Outdoor facilities The shared walled garden has a flower border and there is a seating area here for your use. There is also a fishpond on the left hand side of the garden. The dustbin is located at the end of the path and is marked “The Courtyard”.
