The cottage sits on the highest part of the property, above old Almond Trees, Wild Iris's and indigenous Oak, and is built on two levels. Entered through a pergola covered patio, the ground floor is an open plan space which contains the kitchen, dining room/entrance, guest toilet and living room. Large windows and doors overlook the patio and garden.
The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas range, washing machine and is fully equiped. In the back yard, off the Kitchen, there is an outdoor shower with both hot and cold water. An early morning or late afternoon delight.
The dining table seats 8 people, and there is an airconditioning unit to cool the space.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, each with double bed, and one or two foam matresses as spare. Each room has its own cupboard space. There is one bathroom in which there is a toilet, basin and large shower cubicle with both a fixed shower head and a flexible hand shower. The hot water is solar heated with an electrical backup which kicks in automatically, ensuring that there is ample hot water for all.
There are fly screens on all the upstairs windows, and a large airconditioning unit to cool the area. Cukurbag, because of it's elevation, can be hot in summer but the humidity is low. The evenings can be chilly even in the summer months.
There is a garden table and 6 chairs for use on the patio. In the livingroom there is a TV unit and DVD player, alongside a small but efficient stereo CD player.
The cottage was architect designed with an emphasis on simple and clean lines together with the use of local stone, as a practical, easy to clean low maintenace holiday home, and we hope you find it that way.
The approach to the cottage is by a steep driveway, and there is parking for one car comfortably, two at a squeeze. The gates to the property need to be kept closed at all times, or the cows and goats will deplete the garden in no time.
