Traditional Turkish Cottage With Garden, Sleeps Up to 5 People
Pomegranate Cottage is well-equipped and comfortable property with a traditional Turkish style garden, which is very pleasant to relax in, with many fruit trees for shade, bushes and flowers & a Chardak - a traditional wooden Turkish building with a comfortable cushioned seating area. There are sets of table and chairs outdoors in the garden & also on the covered veranda. The covered veranda at the front/side of the house has recently been extended allowing sun access from morning to early evening, with a covered area for those preferring shade. Dalyan is a perfect choice for people looking for peace, tranquillity and to enjoy nature, the village was originally a small Turkish fishing village but became famous thanks to the Loggerhead Turtle which nests on the nearby beach. Unlike other resorts Dalyan still retains its traditional roots. Dalyan has a wide variety of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets and most of these are within 10 minutes’ walk of the cottage, many of these offer ideal places to relax by the beautiful river and many also offer views of the famous Lycian Rock Tombs. Nearby you will also find many small markets with a wide range of goods at reasonable prices. Every Saturday Dalyan has a lively market, which is a joy to shop at; from the best quality "fake designer" wear to fresh vegetables and of course a plentiful collection of local spices and teas; as a working market you will shop alongside tourists and locals alike. The cottage is just 30 minutes from Dalaman International Airport and transfers can be arranged upon request.
The town of Dalyan is located on the Turquoise coast in southern Turkey. The beautiful long golden sandy beach can be reached by minibus or by a relaxing boat ride on the Dalyan river and through the reed beds. As well as the Loggerhead & the Soft Shelled Nile Turtles, the wet land areas of Dalyan are home to many migrating birds and storks nest all over the area. Steeped in history, Dalyan is overlooked by ancient Lycian Rock Tombs, which are the last resting places of the Kings of Kaunos, meanwhile the Dalyan river weaves its way past the village on its way from Köyce?iz Lake to the beach. Across the river we find the ruins of the city of Kaunos, with a Roman theatre, fortifications, basilica and many other sights to be seen. Also with the famous Mud Baths, Thermal Springs, a Historic Mosque, Scenic Walks & many interesting boat trips available, Dalyan has it all for the perfect relaxing & thoroughly enjoyable holiday.
