Rental price includes linen, cleaning and the services of our on-call housekeeper. Comfortable, in a quiet village, very close to all the excitement and activity, characteristics of a bathing area. Peniche is a rugged and charming peninsula, at 80 km from Lisbon. Here, life is divided between fishing and agriculture. The memory of shipwrecks, the strong religiosity, handicraft (rendas de bilros) and the typical cuisine (grilled sardines, 'caldeirada') are the heritage of the people for generations to come. Walking through Peniche county is an adventure, very present in buildings such as the Fortress (former political prison, now transformed into a museum), Fort Berlenga Nature Reserve (daily departures by boat) or, in an endless calendar of traditional festivals . Peniche has exceptional conditions for water sports like surfing (beach of Supertubos and Baleal), bodyboard, diving and so many outhers. There are beaches perfect for families, for its calm waters, others have medicinal properties. In an unusual beauty, the coast is worthy of being contemplated, along the existing paths. - To get to Peniche from Lisbon - follow the A8 to Caldas da Rainha until you arrive to the IP6 (exit 14). Then follow the IP6 directly to Peniche and turn to Atouguia da Baleia at about 5 Km from Peniche.
- To get to Peniche from the North - Follow the A1 until Leiria. In Leiria take the A8 and follow the direction to Obidos until you arrive to the IP6 (exit 14). Then follow the IP6 directly to Peniche and turn to Atouguia da Baleia at about 5 Km from Peniche.
