Situated on a beautiful private estate, it offers a tranquil, relaxing holiday experience with its extensive grounds and tastefully decorated interior. The house offers spacious living accommodation with 8 bedrooms and 2 reception rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with American fridge including ice maker, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. The stunning marble floored open plan dining room is a perfect place for a large dinner and seats up to 12 people. However step outside into the gardens and you will find a number of delightful terraces that are perfect for al fresco dining. Take a scenic stroll through the extensive grounds down to the main pool area from where you can enjoy stunning views across the countryside to the medieval village of Alegrete in the distance. Closer to the house is the ‘secret’ walled garden in which you will find the original, terracotta-tiled small pool and marble dining table.  Tennis lovers will enjoy the outdoor tennis court and bang board. Others will enjoy the full sized trampoline.  The estate is situated in the Alentejo, one of the most picturesque and unspoilt areas of Portugal. The area is steeped in history and there are many castles and other ancient remains which are worthwhile visiting. For those keen on wildlife and rare species, the Sao Mamede Natural Park offers a haven for some of Europe’s rarest birds and animals and contains many way-marked walks. There are many dams and reservoirs as well as outdoor public pools that you can swim in on top of the two pools already available to you. There is a shop, bar and restuarant in the local village, whilst the larger town of Portalegre, some 8 kms away has a number of large supermarkets and other facilities.
