Beautiful Malta may be small, but it is one of the best-loved holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, with a welcoming culture and a warm climate that make it an ideal place to spend a week or more enjoying the sunshine or lounging on one of the many beaches. It is surprisingly diverse in the architecture of its cities and towns: the capital Valletta looks and feels much like an Italian or European city, while the towns of Gozo (the adjacent island to Malta) more closely resemble the Eastern architecture of Turkey. There is an equally diverse range of activity options available in Malta too, from boat tours of its beautiful sea caves, to watersports such as parasailing, to swimming with dolphins.
