Languedoc-Roussillon is a stunning region of France with both a beautifully warm Mediterranean climate and a mountain setting, with the Pyrenees being situated to the East of the region. This region of France provides all the benefits of a mountainous environment, such as large expanses of forests, swathes of open space but there is also the benefit of the coastal environment.
There is plenty to do and see in this region, you could go walking, cycling or simply absorb the natural environment in one of the National Parks, there is something for everyone. For history enthusiasts there are plenty of historical views and the region boasts a number of World Heritage Sites including Carcassonne, Canal du Midi, and the Pont du Gard.
If history does not interest you, then Languedoc-Roussillon is also known as the land of sports with every type of sport from land, air and sea being on offer, you will never have a boring moment whilst staying in a property in Languedoc-Roussillon.
There is also the chance to experience the culture of Languedoc-Roussillon anything from bull running and sea jousting. French food is a large part of French culture and Languedoc-Roussillon does not disappoint with all of the traditional French foods and some local specialities eating in this region will be a joy.
