Maison St Georges The Ile d'Oléron is France's largest island after Corsica and a favourite destination for day-trippers and families in the summer months thanks to its beautiful sandy beaches. Situated below the Ile de Ré, it is flatter and greener with extensive pine forests. The island is joined to the mainland by a bridge and the area is renowned for its exquisite oysters.
Situated in the old village of Chaucre, on the north west coast of the island, 20 km from the viaduct. With its dunes, marshes, beach and forest, it is an ideal holiday destination in beautiful nature and for walks, bike rides or sailing.
