You won't regret choosing to stay at this extraordinary villa, which was formerly a cotton-mill and has recently been renovated to expose the magnificent oak beams in the roof spaces. The open-plan design of the ground floor makes it extremely spacious, and ideal for the elderly and those requiring wheelchair access. The kitchen is very well-equipped, perfect for a spot of home baking with the kids.
Ebenezer Mansions surrounded by farmland and the enchanting countryside, is within easy walking distance of the popular historic town of Aumale having many half-timbered buildings. It dates back to the 1900's and was originally a cotton-mill warehouse. During 2008 it was completely transformed, yet thoughtfully renovated, to bring out the magnificent oak beams in the exposed roof spaces, into a stunning and elegant two storey villa.
It certainly has that wow factor as soon as you enter the door!
The Villa itself is light and airy as are all the six bedrooms which are double, with the natural light being maximised through the clever use of sky-lights. The open-plan design of the whole ground floor area: Kitchen, lounge and dining - room, makes it truly spacious and especially suitable for all, from the elderly, for wheel-chair access, to the very young. It is also a superb facility to hold parties or various gatherings. The Kitchen has everything you might need, for dinner parties and entertaining to even some home baking with the kids!
There are at least two fridges and a freezer with English plug sockets around the villa. We've designed the villa to have a bathroom on each floor to make it both suitable for family and friends.
Not only is the standard of renovation, the highest, but we can equally ensure that at the start of each booking we offer a clean home with freshly laundered sheets! With everything laid on for you to just unpack and relax. For those people flying from abroad, we would be more than willing to supply additional items such as bath towels and bathroom accessories, flasks and insulated food boxes to minimise the things you need to bring as luggage.
The local area around Aumale has plenty of great activities on offer. Aumale itself has a lovely range of patisseries, butchers and delicatessens, and has plenty of historic buildings. Near the town you'll find a quad-biking arena, as well as an archery club and a horse-riding centre suitable for novice riders. Aumale borders the picturesque Picardy (Picardie) region with lovely sandy beaches by the Somme estuary.
Normandy is a real gateway to France. Aumale is ideally located for the long or short breaks by car to France, being so close to the major motorway network of the A28 /A29. The Channel crossing is easy from either Dover to Calais or Boulogne via LD lines, will save you about 30km off the mileage. The journey via the (A16), motorway is both quick and comfortable. Aumale, from the ports of Boulogne 1.5hrs & Calais 2hrs.
However, Newhaven –Dieppe is our preferred option being only 50mins away, and the 4hr crossing gives you a great chance to rest, especially in one of their cabins which easily accommodates families! The one draw-back with them is that they charge per person!

By Train:
Similarly, local trains (SNCF) go from Beauvais to Aumale. Equally, there are daily and regular links from Paris. See www.scnf.com. However, We would recommend driving to the outskirts of Paris, then take the local train service (RER) to explore Paris because of the cost and time element. There are deals available, for example, that will let you use both the RER and Metro services plus visit the top 55 attractions in Paris ( for a two day pass) costing just 80 euros. We'll happily advise you of the best drive / train locations to do this. Aumale is perfectly situated on the A28 to make this just a direct drive to Paris 120km.
We'd love to encourage smaller families to visit this Pretty part of France especially outside the school Holiday Season.
