Arrival time is normally from 16:00 onwards and departure time before 12:00. Gite Menezil is a 2 bedroom gite with one standard double room and one bunk room - plenty of storage space is available. All bed linen is provided. The large open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is light and airy. A large patio door opens out onto the sun terrace and outside dining area. Equipped to a high standard incorporating comfortable wicker furniture and a wood-burning open fireplace. A TV, DVD player and CD/Radio system are provided. In the modern fully fitted kitchen there is a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, cooker with mixed gas/electric hob and electric oven - together with plenty of storage space, preparation surface and a stainless steel sink area. The fully tiled shower room consists of a shower unit, wash basin with mirror, storage units and heated towel rail. The WC is in a separate room. All towels are provided.In the cellar utility area a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board and hoover.A garden area, BBQ and parking are all available. Notes on accommodation: During the winter months - all heating from either the wood-burning open fireplaces or electric radiators, is included in our prices - based on reasonable average consumption. Outside: The 2 adjoining gîtes stand in their own 2 acre plot of land which includes a large garden area, woodstore and traditional kiln BBQ. Guests also have access to the surrounding 25 acre Cantinelle domaine. Both gîtes also have their own private terrace and outdoor dining area equipped with outdoor furniture. Coast/Beach: The nearest coastal beaches are located at Narbonne Plage around 1hr 30mins hours drive away (90 miles/150 kms).There are various lakes with man made beaches in the direct vicinity - the nearest ones being at Lac Mondeley and Mercus (with a Teleski facility) - both around 9 miles / 15kms away. Golf: The 18 hole Ariège departmental Golf Course at Unjat is located 8 miles / 13 km away. Skiing (snow): The 30 pistes (all levels) of the Ax-3-Domaines ski area are located approximately 45 mins drive away (38 miles/61 kms).The huge ski areas of Andorra are around a 1hr 15min drive away. Travel: Our nearest airports are Carcassonne (48 miles/78 kms) and Toulouse (56 miles/90 kms) - both about a 1 hour drive away and served by regular and low-cost airlines. Car hire is essential. Distances: The village of Loubens is located in the Natural regional park of the Ariège Pyrénées. Our nearest major towns are Pamiers and Foix - the departmental capital of the Ariège - both 8 miles/12 kms away.
