Currency: The currency used in Dubai is known as the Arab Emirate Dirham in the global market and is denoted by ‘AED’. Locally, the currency is denoted by ‘Dh’, called the Dirham. Each ‘Dh’ is divided into 100 units and these are known as a ‘fil’. The notes form of the currency of ‘Dh’ are 1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5, with coins of ‘fils’ being 50, 25 and 10.
