Beaune
The beating heart of the Burgundian wine industry, Beaune is a must-see destination for any wine lover or food connoisseur. It is also the site of a fascinating medieval hospital, the Hôtel Dieu. Beaune is located 44km south of Dijon. Car rental is a good idea if you want to explore the vineyards in the vicinity, or venture further afield during your stay. Alternatively, you can get to and from the town by train, with good rail connections to and from Dijon, Lyon, and Paris's Gare du Lyon (via TGV).
