The organisers of this year’s 2010 Bristol International Balloon Fiesta hailed the event as a success, despite the postponement of the evening flights on Thursday, Friday and saturday.This years Bristol International Balloon Fiesta which is in its 32nd year was a special event as it celebrated 50 years of modern ballooning.

Despite some bad weather conditions at times, an estimated 500,000 people attended the festival at Ashton Court over the four days, with over 100,000 present at Saturday's night glow. Sunday afternoon was the highlight of the weekend as the Fiesta added extra entertainment with the performance of the Red Arrows Aerobatic Team. The large crowd wowed and cheered as the Red Arrows produced a breath taking performance.

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta finally came to an end on Sunday evening with the launch of 56 balloons in the second mass ascent of the fiesta.The event was so popular this year that some spectators got turned away.
